Glide N Gorge – Saturday February 27, 2021

The 13th annual Glide N Gorge will again be held on the Saturday of Copper Dog weekend. Come on out for great fun from noon until 3pm at the Maasto Hiihto ski trails in Hancock.

For this unique event, you’ll start at the Four Seasons Chalet, located at the north west corner of the Houghton County Fair Grounds. As always, we welcome you to classic ski, snow shoe, or snow bike! Kids in pulks and dogs are also welcome.

Due to flood related trail closures for the third year the traditional ski down Swedetown Creek is in the process of being modified for this year’s course. But you can still expect to experience a fantastic skiing experience with your friends. The route will be the same as last year which will offer the option of a short ski along Swedetown Creek expect a ski roughly equivalent to the 3.5 mile course of years past.

Our Team at KNSC had to come up with some creative solutions to pull this event off.  It will not be like past GnG’s but we hope you will enjoy our unique format this year!

Glide on!  We look forward to seeing you!

Due to COVID-19 please follow current recommendations for social distancing and masks.

Bring your friends and family or just come by yourself-you will be among friends you may or may not have met!

Tickets for this event are FREE for adults; we invite kids and well-behaved dogs to come for FREE too!  Consider DONATING this year, you’ll be supporting the rehabilitation of the Swedetown Gorge trails by contributing to this annual fundraiser that has taken on greater urgency since the Father’s Day Flood of 2018.

For registrants there will be a selfie photo contest and a door prizes. Details at registration at the start next to the Chalet.
